Georgia, North Carolina battle over winning next Miley freaking Cyrus movie

The Associated Press dropped a pretty interesting story about the state governments of North Carolina and Georgia fighting over which gets to host the next movie to star Miley Cyrus.

The movie is called “The Last Song,” and it’s based on a script by Nicholas Sparks, so, naturally, the first place the studio looked to shoot was Wilmington, N.C., at Screen Gems’ studios. That’s basically where every damned movie based on a Sparks novel has been set and shot, including “The Notebook” and “A Walk to Remember,” both of which I… kind of… enjoy. I can’t help it. They always get really great actors in those movies. What are you gonna do.

But, really, this is just an interesting development since I wrote about Georgia’s new tax incentives a few weeks ago. Maybe I’ll do some honest journalism for Cribbster here in a few days and try something more in-depth. Interview some studio tax people or something who are recommending Georgia as a shooting venue. Because it’s kind of interesting what’s going on here.

The TV shows. The OC and Gossip Girl :) You see, many of the characters look like each other, and the type of roles are also pretty much alike. Check it out here: http://millivanilli.wordpress.com/2009/01/12/look-alike-5/
