TRAILER REVIEW: ‘Inglourious Basterds’ or wienerschnitzel-lickin’ fingers and so forth

Lt. Aldo Raine, played by Brad Pitt, sits in front of a captured Nazi soldier.

“I’m gonna assume you know who we are,” he says.

“Everybody in the German army has heard of you,” the Nazi says. Continue reading ‘TRAILER REVIEW: ‘Inglourious Basterds’ or wienerschnitzel-lickin’ fingers and so forth’

TRAILER REVIEW: ‘Shutter Island’ or who cares about the title ’cause it’s Scorsese

He’s very good shooting Southern stuff in a Terrence Malick sort of way. Plus, Taryn Manning, one of the industry’s most under-appreciated actors, is one of the leads. She’s just really, really good and can play these kinds of white trash roles with an unmatched balance of credibility and heartwarming cuteness. Continue reading ‘CLASSIC REVIEW: ‘Dandelion’’
