2010: An unbelievably disappointing year for movies

If I were to make a Top 10 list of my favorite movies for 2010, it’d look like this:

Emory University’s Journal of Family Life published a new study on parents and their opinion of U.S. movie ratings. Their verdict?

Watch ‘Gorillas in the Mist’ with Sigourney Weaver, wishing it was ‘Alien’… or ‘Copycat’

The Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund is hosting its second fundraiser at which you pay $20 to see the 1988 drama “Gorillas in the Mist” about gorillas… chilling out in mist. (It’s a pretty good title, though.) Sigourney Weaver will also be there representing all the endangered primates and whatnot.

Perry named to Vanity Fair’s ‘New Establishment’

Atlanta’s probably sole legitimate filmmaker, Tyler Perry, made Vanity Fair’s “New Establishment” list, which claims to be the best list of the country’s most important leaders or whatever. If you actually sit down and read this list, very little of it makes sense. (How the crap is Ari Emanuel the 67th most important leader in the country? The dude is more well known as a fake version of himself on “Entourage” than… himself… his actual, sentient self.)

‘Vampire Diaries’ stars arrested for, uh, flashing motorists in Ga.

I don’t give two shits about television typically, but, oh Lord, this is too awesome to be true.
