Dear Lakeshore: Let’s get crackin’ on the ‘Bandwagon’ DVD, please

One lazy weekend in high school, I was channel surfing through my family’s selection of, like, 10 HBO channels (before that became standard for everyone), and I remember settling on this movie. It’s a pretty cool movie, and I’d never seen a movie like it. It’s about a bunch of guys (with no future) who start a garage band called Circus Monkey, which, of course, is an awful name for a band, but it didn’t really matter because the music… Well, the music in this movie was pretty kick-ass. TRAILER REVIEW: ‘The Road’ or a kid who makes hilariously awful trailers

I can’t say I’m a huge Cormac McCarthy fan. I’ve only read one of his books: “No Country for Old Men,” which is fantastic. But after that movie turned out to be a masterpiece, I was pretty eager to see what Hollywood would do with “The Road,” a rather depressing book that was so good Oprah decided to include it in her book club. ‘Obsessed’ kills it, called most important freaking movie ever

I’ve been uniquely interested in “Obsessed” since its trailer was released a few weeks ago. Aside from the fact that Ali Larter is hot, Beyonce is hot and Idris Elba is Idris Elba, the casting of the movie seemed very deliberate.
