The Academy released its Oscar nominations this morning. Read the story in the New York Times.
In the interests of not being redundant, I figured it best to focus on the surprises. Few of the nominations were surprises, particularly the heaping praise for “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” which is so slickly directed, acted and executed it’s almost boring.
